Another week at Sackos Acres, a lot of goat lessons learned! One morning when we went out to feed the girls, Cinnamon (pictured) refused to get up or eat and she kept groaning. Since Cinnamon is VERY pregnant so we thought, “this must be the day!” but mother nature had other plans and by that night she was back to acting like her normal self. Fast-forward a few days and now Gaia’s lady bits look pretty swollen and her milk bag has started to fill up. We have no idea when these girls were bred as we’re their third owners so all we can do is monitor them for common signs of labor. As of today (3/29/21), we still don’t have any baby goats but Cinnamon has lost her mucus plug so hopefully it happens soon! As for Freyja, she got into something she shouldn’t have and spent nearly a whole day throwing up. After doing some research, we gave her some Pepto Bismol and she started to improve. Today, she’s back to her mischievous antics and when we went in to feed them this morning we didn’t even see her at first since she was at the very top of the hay bales nearly at the ceiling! We’re hoping these kids come soon, subscribe below to make sure you don’t miss out on new babies! You can also follow us on Instagram @sackosacres.
